The LWF continues to work with UNHCR, ACT Alliance members and other partners in supporting thousands of South Sudanese displaced internally and thousands more seeking refuge in the neighboring countries.

Our priority inside South Sudan remains resumption of planned activities that had been scaled down in our areas of operation because of the current fighting. We are also stepping up our immediate crisis response to support IDPs and refugees.

We are greatly concerned that looting that has taken place in various parts of the country has also affected our compound in Bor, where we have lost accommodation tents and other materials. But we are grateful that no staff persons have been harmed.

In the medium term, we are looking at putting up alternative shelters for our operations, as we closely monitor the unfolding impact of the crisis on our entire operations inside the country.
