ACT Appeal

ACT members; NCA, WORLD RENEW, DCA, FCA, LWF, ICCO, CHRISTIAN AID and their partners, are appealing to ACT Alliance for a total amount of $7,274,821 to upscale their ongoing humanitarian response activities.

UNOCHA estimates that 575,500 have been internally displaced due to the ongoing violence, and 112,200 civilians have fled to neighboring countries (UNOCHA Situation Updates, 23 January 2014). Due to limited humanitarian access to some areas there are no firm statistics but total ddisplacement and humanitarian needs continue to rise on a daily basis.
The proposed emergency response includes: Food and non-food items, emergency health, hygiene and sanitation, emergency education, provision of shelter and recovery and reintegration including psychosocial services.
